Details of how much Apple Inc.’s next-generation iPhone will cost Canadians each month when the device goes on sale July 11 have been leaked on the Internet, a Web site claims.

According to a blog post on ehmac.ca, Rogers Communications Inc. will require iPhone subscribers to pay $30 per month for unlimited data and visual voicemail and $45 per month for an enterprise plan that will provide unlimited data and corporate e-mail.

Both plans must subscribe to an existing Rogers or Fido voice plan and must subscribe to a three-year contract. There will apparently not be a “no commitment” price, two-year contract or pre-paid service for the iPhone on Rogers’ service.

The total monthly cost of the plan will come to about $90 per month, in line with comments Rogers president and chief operating officer Nadir Mohamed made earlier this week at the Canadian Telecom Summit.

Representatives from Rogers could not be reached for comment.

One commenter named "SonicBlue82" said the $30 per month for unlimited data charge was reasonable, but wished it was an optional service provided by Rogers.

"I understand that some of you are saying that to use all of the iPhone's capabilities you need the data plan -- and I don't disagree, but I just wish it was up to the consumer to decide if they want data or not," the commenter said.
