Emblaze is about to take on behemoths HTC, RIM, and Apple in designing one of the best-looking devices. With the highest resolution screen available on smartphones, the Emblaze Edelweiss will sport a 480x854-pixel touchscreen display measuring 3.5-inches. The number of pixels even trumps the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 and the Touch HD (X1 and Touch HD only have 480 X 800 displays).
Oh, Yeah 58 pixels more, WOW! Wonder what else will be used to just say they are unique. The Edelweiss will launch on Russian carrier MTS this month, the device will have 3G/GSM, GPS, and either 8 GB or 16 GB of built-in memory. The second handset called the Monolith will be developed jointly with Sharp and Access, software maker behind the "Powered by Access" platform and the NetFront browser. The Monolith is said to have a Linux-based operating system and many multimedia features.
The Widgets on the home screen look very so much like the Samsung Omnia, although it's not clear on the price or which mobile OS the devices will sport.
